E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)

Could be the best family movie ever. E.T is a truly awesome film that everyone can love. The story is just too sweet and you'll be creasing at the high-jinks pulled of by E.T and touched (no pun intended) by how innocent he is. Couple of scenes will set the tear ducts going but that's cool. Awesome film that'll only encourage friendship and love. Spielberg's best?

"E.T. phone home..." I don't know if it's possible, by any stretch of the imagination, to find Steven Spielberg's E.T. anything less than a perfect movie. The whole experience completely blew me away, and just the thought of this movie being made almost 30 years ago makes the film seem even more amazing. The whole movie has not dated one bit. Every time we see that little fat alien it never looks fake - not even for a second. For the whole time he looks incredibly real, without any hint of flaws at all. The whole story is classic, and the whole experience is filled with moments of true nostalgia. E.T. is the tale of a little ugly-but-loveable alien who comes to Earth with others from his species.
