Uhhh... ok. That's weird.

Eraserhead is now the single most bizarre film that I have ever seen. Eraserhead has dethroned The Fountain from that spot. It is a film that is filled with a very complex story that is very hard to follow. It is one of those films that some people probably wouldn't like very much because of that. There are people who do appreciate this film because of the art of the film and the way it is filmed ... read more

I'm writing a movie review today because I saw "Eraser head" a few months ago and it's been festering inside my head for so long that I just have to make my feelings about how terrible it is (and how stupid most of the people that love it are) more public.

Somehow this movie is a "Cult classic" because it's "interpretative to your own thoughts" well guess what? My thoughts are that i... read more

I don't know where to begin. Perhaps nauseating isn't quite the word, but I felt increasingly sick throughout the film. In a good way I guess, as the film itslef is utterly brilliant, even if I couldn't really understand what the hell was going on. Can anyone? Other than the sexual and maternal subtexts, I was lost. But it didn't matter really. It's compelling, but sickening, the chicken carving s... read more

The Film That Started It All

“Well, this is what started it all. This paved the path for a legend. Not only did Lynch go on to become the greatest director in history, but he also created the best directorial debut of all time. This is a true surrealist masterpiece. It is so weird, highly disturbing, and, at times, absolutely hilarious. The way Nance walks and talks always cracks me up. The scenes at the dinner table is just about as weird (and hilarious) as any you'll ever seen. Not only is this a great dark comedy/surreal film, it is also a horror film, and a terrifying one at that. It is just so strange and it gives you that feel of hopelessness. It also has a deep philosophical message to it, but that is definitely up to interpretation, as is most of Lynch's works. Overall, this is yet another great effort by Lynch” read more

150 from the 70's: My Fave Films From The 1970's (150 movies items)

"The King of WTF films starts off with a surrealistic bang. Though I had heard of this movie for quite a while, despite being a David Lynch fan, it took a long time before I got around to watching it. After I finally did, even though I did feel like there is no other film that succeeds in capturing the a dark wandering atmosphere of a nightmare, I must say, in the end I was still a bit disappointed. I guess it was b'cuz, as a comicbook nerd, I was kinda hoping that the story was going to be more "

"24.04. PC/TV, 1st viewing DIRECTED BY David Lynch No idea why I didn't see this until now, being somewhat of a Lynch fan. Glad I did finally, it's a solid film and maybe even Lynch's best visually. The sound design is also brilliant. I interpreted it as a film about the fears and anxiety of a young man but what makes the film fun is the ambiguity and unpredictable, at times hilarious surrealism. "
