This is a very weird film. It had the chance to be a nice cheesy 80's comedy about computers, but it went dark, not in a good way. It fails as a comedy, romance, sci-fi, or any other genre. Not even the fun Moroder tunes could save it.

" An artificially intelligent PC and his human owner find themselves in a romantic rivalry over a woman. Worth seeing for the premise alone."

"March 22 "So what is it? Some new building?" "No... some new brick." This was a very weird movie, even for 80's movie standards. The premise of the movie is very unique and the execution is pretty good. This and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the only good movies that Steve Barron directed."

Greatest Film Tearjerking Moments D - G (39 movies items)

"Sentient computer Edgar's (voice of Bud Cort) simple attempt to win the heart of the beautiful Madeline Robistat (Virginia Madsen), by playing Bach's Suite from Anna Magdalena with an electronic cello, and writing to her with a child's scrawl on the screen" "I LOVE YOU". Madeline was so moved that a single tear flowed down her cheek and chin and dropped onto Edgar's exposed circuitry, causing a burst of color, and left Edgar to ponder his future with her and rival suitor Miles Harding (Lenny von"
