First of all, before jumping into conclusions and criticizing Dredd for how it looks, it is important to note that it is a very simple film which serves a simple purpose. Tense and extreme and mechanical violence, but realist in spite of the comic stature of robocopian Dredd. The little respiration you can get, when both 'judges', Dredd ant the rookie, escapes temporarily to a skaters terrace,is welcome

"14.6.2013 Nicely straightforward and violent action-cinema set on one single space, and with one-faced main character and properly fascistic undertones. The real action-cinema is dead, but this is okay at least because it never feels too fake, jokey or trying-too-hard, like all those grindhouse-bullshits or Stallone's Expendables, but is just decent action-movie that goes forward without too many pauses.
