Minä en muuten tajunnut yhtään mikä tässä elokuvassa oli ideana. Altmanin visuaalinen ilme oli kyllä tallella, mutta muu osa elokuvasta sujahti täysin ohitseni. Geren Richardilla, joka esittää nimihenkilöä, sattumoisin gynekologia, on jotain ongelmia sukunsa ja yleensäkin lähipiirinsä naisten kanssa. Sitten sattuu kommelluksia ja niitä selvitellään urakalla, kunnes Rikulta menevät hermot kaikkiin akkojen kotkotuksiin.
