Unfortunately, "John Smith" fails in this endeavor, is promoted to officer, and is sent to the Pacific islands, where he dies fighting the Japanese. His soul goes to heaven, where St. Peter tells him to wait outside while processing his entry. During the delay, Cantinflas starts wandering, and curiously decides to take a tour of hell. He is granted an interesting conversation with Satan, who despondently complains that nobody is afraid of him. The two continue to graciously talk about the past, present, and future of the world, and discuss the ideas of war, freedom, and democracy.... (more)(less)
