Antonius Block is a knight - crusader who was accompanied by the groom's Jens returned to his castle in Sweden after 10 years absence, during which he fought in the Holy Land. " April 28th: Hulu plus, computer Overall opinion: Great I've wanted to see this for so long, and it totally lived up to the hype I'd built in my head. What a great movie. For a film made in the 50's I really loved the characters portrayed; I felt for them, didn't want anything bad to happen to them. It felt real to me, too. Not like a modern medieval period piece, but I had to remind myself that this was made in the 50's and not earlier (probably since it was in a language I didn't understand"
