This is nothing more than a quality action film! It was without doubt one of my favourites as a kid. The storyline is crazy, but the faceoff between Stallone and Snipes is one of the funniest and most memorable from the 90s.
John Spartan is a hard-as-nails cop who will stop at nothing to get his man, even if it means razing city buildings to the ground. Eventually his wanton destruc... read more

"Escaping explosion
There simply isn't a better way to peak your action scene than a badass explosion and the hero jumping away from the flames. Whether we're talking about Hard Boiled, Predator or Con Air, great moments have been spent with these close-calls, but we know they're not all that close-calls: being actually caught by explosion is about as plausible as losing to villains.
So, no real suspense there, but who cares when it looks so gooood.

Kokonaisuutena hieman keskivertoa parempi toimintaleffa.

"Chief, you can take this job, and you can shovel it."
"Take this job... and shovel it."
"Yeah?"
"Close enough."
Why didn't I watch this earlier? I should've seen this before I attempted to watch Stallone's mediocre efforts like Cobra and Judge Dredd. Oh well. This was one of the better Sylvester Stallone movies I've seen that wasn't Rocky or First Blood. It's cheesy and over the top and the movie is very self-aware of that. If you think about it, it's pretty much Stallone's respons"
