I just sat down to watch this, with family.
What we expected: a typical Hollywood action-packed blockbuster with a great idea, destroyed in all ways possible.
What we got: an interesting somewhat plausible - still a little predictable - script, decent actors (no Oscar nominations here), great action, and a clever twist.

A good movie, with good acting---as long as you don't think too hard about the obvious problems in the story....problems that will always exist in such time travel-type stories.

Wow! I really liked this movie! I didnt expect it to be this good, for me to enjoy it this much, but i certainly did.

Denzel Washington is an awesome actor. He is so tallented in so many different ways and in that way he was perfect for his character in this movie.

In his most effective thriller since Enemy of the State, Tony Scott makes time travel seem plausible. Then there's the body of a beautiful woman, Claire Kuchever (Paula Patton, Idlewild), that turns up in the vicinity of the blast. Evidence indicates she was killed beforehand. Since the FBI enables him to observe Claire prior to her murder, Carlin gets to know what she was like and finds himself falling in love. He becomes convinced that the only way to solve the case--and prove her innocence--is to travel to the past. But as Pryzwarra's colleague, Denny (Adam Goldberg), argues, "You cannot go back in time. "17.03.2013 "Brace yourselves, I think you're about to witness a murder." This was better than i remembered, but still pretty stupid. It's a decent action thriller, but that time machine or whatever it was was just kind of ridicules. Maybe i just didn't pay enough attention to the movie. Denzel was great as always though. I think i say that every time i watch one of his movies, but it's always true. No mater how bad the movie might be, you can always count on Denzel to make it a little better. "
