The BBC website describes 'Death At A Funeral' as a desperate bid to marry a Richard Curtis comedy of middle-class manners with the taste-free gross-out style of the Farrelly Brothers. I can't say I really like those directors, but I can say I enjoyed this. "13/1 There's one big problem with this dry British comedy: All it's jokes are a bit flat. I guess it thinks that it's dark and hence feels the need to not go all-out on some of the material, but the result becomes needlessly PG due to this. People take psychedelic drugs by accident and the most they do is walk around naked or talk to the walls. "First viewing - Jan. 21st Review by PvtCaboose91 Recommended by jaytoast As the above review also notes, a strong cast & excellent script work well together to make this film memorable despite the cliches on hand. I personally really enjoyed it & would definitely watch it again. Thanks to jaytoast for the recommendation! Just a thought: Peter Dinklage is a better actor than he seems to get credit for.
