Keanu Reeves ei ole oikeastaan koskaan kuulunut lempinäyttelijöideni joukkoon. Yhden ilmeen mies, joka ei juuri säväytä. Samaa linjaa jatketaan tässä.

Juonellisesti leffa ei ole kaksinen, mutta on ihan katsottava pieni scifi-pläjäys. Ei kuitenkaan niin hyvä, että katsoisin toistamiseen. Kerta riitti.

First of all i only liked Keanu Reeves' charisma and Jennifer Connely's eyes...The movie was awful. I loves the fragman, the posters and the cast was gorgeous but hte movie...it was sooo simple, so cheap... Big disappointing. But still seeing T-Bag was cool. "If the earth dies u die, if u die the earth survives." it was lameeeeeeee.

The Day the Earth Stood Still had the potential to be a decent sci-fi movie. The visuals and musical score created an atmosphere of foreboding but these weren't enough to make for a truly enjoyable movie. This was because the story was poorly developed and the characters had no depth and it seemed like the movie was a showcase for advertisers more than anything else. Keanu Reeves does the unemotional bent that he's known for and Jennifer Connolly doesn't have much to do. This movie takes the cake when it comes to annoying characters - Kyle Chandler's character was excruciating to watch but ultimately kudos go to Jaden Smith for portraying one of the most irritating characters EVER! Keanu Reeves: Klaatu To start with I never had any major expectations upon seeing The Day the Earth stood Still. Initially it's an effect laden disaster movie disguised as an Alien encounter of sorts, and of course it's a remake of a major Classic B&W film with a deep message between it's lines.
