They say that those things are dead. I know that's a bunch of BULLSHIT!

Effing love EVERYTHING about this film. I've been a fan of the zombie genre for years, and this one ranks as one of the best I've seen in ages. It does seem ironic though, that Ving Rhames appears in two zombie films, the other being the Day of the Dead. Still, Zack Snyder definitely blew me away with the way he p... read more

A good movie

Since I kept hearing many good things about this movie, I was really curious to see it. Eventually, I thought it was pretty good and, in my opinion, it is probably one of the best remakes ever made. Indeed, there was a pretty good cast (it was above all a nice and welcome to see Sarah Polley in a commercial feature like this one), it was visually quite impressive and the whole thing was simply rea... read more

One of the best Remakes that has been done and one of the best iv'e ever seen. The opening Ten minutes of the film is great and while it maybe not match the intensity of the original it does it's best to great you right into the action. The movie opens up to Sarah Polley(Ana) wakes up to find her husband being attacked by a zombie child. As she makes her way outside she then sees that the carnage... read more

35 From 4: My Favorite Films From 2004 (35 movies items)

"While I respect George Romero's horror/comedy zombie flix and I understand that there's an audience out there for it, the truth is, I myself have little patience for this specific brand of subgenre. Therefore, when Zack Snyder came along and redid Dawn with a budget more substantial than what Mssr. Romero is used to, and with a more solid story-line, along with the shlock gage turned down a couple of notches, I found myself actually enjoying watching a film about a subject that beforehand, I had"

Movie Reviews (1101-1150) (50 movies items)

" A surprisingly good remake / reimagining of the "Dawn of the Dead" movie. It starts with a powerful beginning where the feisty heroine loses her whole family to the zombie plague before it follows the concept of George A. Romero's original closely but it do feel more sometimes like a sequel to "28 Days Later" as we suddenly have zombies that can run fast after it's victims. A pretty grim movie all in all and one of the more memorable zombie movies of the last decade."
