"24.5 Netflix rewatched I remember how stunned I was when I seen this first time. Very good movie with dark and even scruffy atmosphere. Story is also great, even I´m not a fan of "boss fight" in the end. "We are little more than a sum of memories. From them we reference who we are, where we're going. Without a past we are nothing. “Before The Matrix and the question of is this the real world, came a gem of a film called Dark City. It is a cypberpunk film noir stylized thriller, with some very dark characters dark atmospher and one hell of a good story. Some times the story is slow, but sometimes to get to the good parts you have to take it slow. Rufus Sewell plays John Murdoch who has just lost his memory, and on his journey of recaliming it he finds out some very harsh realities. I can't say anymore other then, if you like a good Sci-Fi with a good twist of a story, then Dark City is one of those movies you have to watch.” read more

" The Ups: It mixes film noir, a great sci fi concept and great actors with a great story just like one of my favorite films from the 1980s, "Blade Runner". Bizarre bold villains. It had some of the same ideas as "The Matrix" but a whole year before it had premiere. The Downs: That it would take a decade before I could see the director's cut, which is superior to the theatrical one as it skips the annoying voice over at the beginning from Kiefer Sutherland. "
