The poster for "Danton", depicting a man wearing a powdered wig (either Danton or Robespierre) having his eyes gouged with a bloody hand, has become a hit on Listal. It's easy to undertsnad why, just look at it; a brilliant piece of gothic art worthy of being put up in a museum. I first saw this on some "Best Posters" list and myself was taken aback. Ah, but that was where I was wrong. You see, even though "Danton" may appear to be your every historical drama, it is far from it. It's a sinister film, dare I say, even disturbing in places.
