Since I'm a huge fan of Jodie Foster, I really had to see this flick. Eventually, I thought it was pretty good. First of all, the young cast (Emile Hirsch, Kieran Culkin, Jena Malone) all give some rather impressive performance and I thought that the story was quite fascinating. A good movie

“Since I'm a huge fan of Jodie Foster, I really had to see this flick. Eventually, I thought it was pretty good. First of all, the young cast (Emile Hirsch, Kieran Culkin, Jena Malone) all give some rather impressive performance and I thought that the story was quite fascinating. Unfortunately, Jodie Foster has a very small role and doesn't do much during the whole thing. Furthermore, the plot is rather unfocused, especially the end which was way too sentimental and downright disappointing. Still, even though it is flawed, it remains a spellbinding coming of age drama and it is definitely worth a look.
