1 movie for each year of my life (50 movies items)

"3 more cheesy horror stories and a wraparound animated story in the vein of the old EC comics written by Stephen King and George Romero in this follow up to Creepshow Like all anthologies the quality varies but the 2nd story The Raft has some tense moments Worth a watch but do not expect anything original"

October 2013 Horrorfest (24 movies items)

"First viewing - Oct. 30th/31st OK, so the moment I saw Romero wrote but didn't direct this one I immediately lowered my expectations for it. And that worked in the film's favor I guess because for the most part I enjoyed it. And I'm glad I used it for my anthology for the month, as anthologies usually play well during marathons. Anyway, here we have 3 segments with a weak animated frame tale about a boy who's bullied. I never felt like it was necessary to the movie beyond the fact it looked li"

" Watched October 5th - Netflix Streaming - 1st Viewing "Now may your spirit rest, old warrior." - Ben Whitemoon I saw Creepshow for the first time last year and loved it, I mean how could a collaboration between Steven King and George Romero miss? - so I was anxious to see Creepshow 2, it was another collaboration between King and Romero, only both as writers, as Romero did not direct the sequel, which is one of the things that keeps it from being as brilliant as the the original, there were j"

"August 12 "Thanks for the ride, lady!" What a mixed bag! This is the only anthology film that I actually feel like reviewing all the segments this movie has since there's not that many. Old Chief Wood'nhead: This segment did have a good performance from George Kennedy and the idea for this segment had potential, but it wasn't executed that great. The antagonist wasn't threatening in my opinion and the whole thing was mildly scary and mildly entertaining. 6/10 The Raft: Right from the very "

" I thought the original Creepshow was a creative movie that manages to vary the levels of comedy and horror very well. However, I think the sequel was just OK. It had a lower budget, so there was less segments and less shots that had a comic-book feel like the original. None of the segments are bad but they aren't as memorable or interesting as the first one's segments. However, it's not a bad movie and a decent way to waste an hour and a half."

Films and the critics who hate them (743 movies items)

"Tied together with some humdrum animated sequences, three vignettes on offer obviously were produced on the absolute cheap, and are deficient in imagination and scare quotient. - Variety Staff, Variety Part of the problem is that King's short stories simply work better in print. - Richard Harrington, Washington Post Just as you can't judge a '50s comic book by its lurid cover, so you can't judge a cheapo, three-part film by its sources. - Time Out"
