Cop Land is a film that changed my overall view of actor Sylvester Stallone. For Stallone, he wanted to bury the type-cast action hero and star in something different. I was very impressed with the results here.

"18.11. DVD. Uusintakatselu. Ei pisteytetty ennen. Jos vaikka pitkästä aikaa kirjoittaisi jotain pientä. Cop Land on ihan ymmärrettävästi pienelle huomiolle jäänyt elokuva. Tässä kun ei oikeastaan ole muuta erikoista kuin se, että myöhemmin noin puolet näyttelijöistä ovat näytelleet Sopranosissa. Tarina on aika yllätyksetön ja nähty ja vaikka korruptiosta yritentääkin jotain sanoa, jää se vain pintaraapaisuksi. Mutta silti kyseessä on oikein viihdyttävä pieni elokuva, "

"Katsottu: 26.10.2012 Stallone on hyvin hämmentynyt, koska korruptio. De Niro kertoo hänelle vähän juttuja poliiseista ja lopussa oikeudenmukaisuus voittaa. Oikeastaan todella hyvä rikoselokuva, jossa olisi kyllä ollut enemmänkin potentiaalia."

"16.10 Syltty vetää hienosti pääroolinsa, miehelle varsin erilaisessa elokuvassa. Elokuvan niinsanottu sanoma jää aika pinnalliseksi, eikä säväytä katsojaa millään tavalla. Jonkun toisen esim. Scorsesen ohjauksessa tästä olisi voinut tulla vaikka mitä. Ottaen vielä huomioon että sivuosissa häärii Scorseselle tuttuja ukkoja aina Harvey Keitelistä Ray Liottaan ja Frank Vincentistä Robert De Niroon. Potentiaalia parempaan, mutta hyvä näinkin."
