I've seen some say that the dialogue in this is realistic, but for me it was not. "Though I'm not much of a fan of Godard, Le mépris surprisingly kept me interested. I grant a hefty portion of the film's strength to the fantastic Brigitte Bardot, who seems to act as a pivot around which the rest of the film revolves around.
