Being a fan of the books and Isla Fisher I really wanted to watch it when I saw they were making the movie. The book is the first of a series that talk about Rebeca Bloom a shopaholic that has problems with every part of her life except for the shopping. In the movie, and first book, she gets a new job on a finances magazines, that for a shopaholic is really ironic, and the fact of being in love for her boss and screw her friendship with her best friend. I always knew they would make it prettier than good on the screen but I actually liked. It had a lot of bad things.. I mean, how Joan Cusack could be Isla Fisher's mom? They have almoust the same age! Isla actually was what saved the movie. Probably another actress wouldn't be as funny, sweet and charming as she would in this romantic ...Read more

"Did you just type: good angles on APRs, into Google?" A college grad lands a job as a financial journalist in New York City to support where she nurtures her shopping addiction and falls for a wealthy entrepreneur. Based on the novel "Confessions of a Shopaholic" by Sophie Kinsella. Isla Fisher: Rebecca Bloomwood P.J. Hogan may be responsible for the refreshingly grim atmosphere of 2003 offering Peter Pan that tried to take away the timeless tale of the boy who wouldn't grow up away from its heavily romanticized robust roots, yet the ample book origins of Confessions of a Shopaholic, his latest film about a woman who wouldn't grow out of an excessive materialistic folly, is as substantial and as memorable as a flicker of a candle. Based from Sophie Kinsella's series of uber-popu...Read more
