"Critics complained that the scene showing the funeral being disrupted by gang gunfire was unrealistic. According to the filmmakers, shortly after the scene wrapped, a church service a short distance away actually was disrupted by gang gunfire. "
"Watched on 1/17-18/10
A very real movie, and one of the most unique ways of portraying a "buddy" cop film. There are virtually no annoying cliches, and the whole story is very spontaneous, as if it's real. A very underrated and overlooked cop drama, that is actually very good.
A movie that starts the trend of delving deeper & closer into the dynamics of the reality of the modern gangsta's lifestyle & it's street-level relationship with law enforcement.
The result is a progressive step into the lives, attitude & behaviors of cops who deal daily with the almost insane & hopeless situations that dominate the gang-infested areas which they have sworn to serve & protect."
