Top 10 best movies 2012 (17 movies items)" Notes: Even though it wasn't completely flawless, it was definitely the most intriguing movie I have seen this year. During the first hour, I was reminded of David Lynch by the whole randomness it produced. But then, slowly but surely, it started to make sense and, at the end, I was really overwhelmed. I must admit, it is definitely an acquired taste but I really enjoyed it and a rewatch might even improve my rating."
Authors Loving Adaptations of their Books (16 movies items)" David Mitchell wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal called "Translating 'Cloud Atlas' Into the Language of Film" in which he describes the work of the adapters as being like translating a work into another language. He stated that he was pleased with the final product as a successful translation from one medium into another."
“Wow! I really didn't expect to be blown away like this... I mean, I have to admit I was intrigued. Come on! It is not everyday that you get the opport”

“Hold on tight cause this is going to be a long one... You've been warned.
There are movies with large ambitions that dare to think big and go outside the box, and then there is Cloud Atlas. This is a movie so sprawling, drunk on ides and visuals that the three hours it takes to tell its various stories, which don’t always connect neatly or even at all, feels like only the beginning. It may not be a perfect film, but in terms of sheer scope, ambition, passion and craft on display – it’s a glorious, once in a lifetime kind of achievement.
There are six stories which overlap in actors and themes, detailing the interconnectedness of the human race, its penchant for violence within itself and to those it deems “Others” and, of course, in reincarnation, predestinate” read more
WORST TO BEST OF 2012 (54 movies items)"One of the most layered movies I've ever seen - like - EVER! -Reincarnation, how a single thought can act as a drop spilled in a vast ocean of time. It's well worth the bloated runtime. There was never a boring moment for me and there was so much to take away from the subject matter. This movie literally made my jaw DROP!!! Where else are you gonna see a group of quality actors play 6 different versions of themself?... "
Movie Diary 2013 (49 movies items)"3.2 new 1.3 rewatched @ Finnkino I was excited about this movie instantly after I had read about it in Empire magazine. Very very ambitious movie by creators of Matrix. Six different stories in different times and each actors have several characters to play. And of course, there is a some connection between stories. I dont pretend to understand the movie completely after first watch, but it wasn´t as confusing as I was afraid. Very inspiring and good movie. Tykwer´s soundtrack is worthy of me"
