It was quite well done with some good action scenes but to really enjoy it, you shouldn't analyse too much the story or the characters. To conclude, it was rather entertaining even though it was not challenging at all but if you are fan of the two previous installments, it is then definitely worth a look.

The Pevensie trilogy is complete.

After loving The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe and disappointed by Prince Caspian, expectations were both high and low for the third instalment in the Narnia franchise. As stated in the other two reviews of the Narnia films I have done, the two older Pevensie children aren't in it so that is one thing that made it better than the first two films but where I don't think it was better than the firs... read more

Movie Reviews (part 851-900) (50 movies items)

" The Ups: It has a different feel than the first two films as this is a sea-bound story and has not that much landscapes in it. Brief moments of excellent fantasy and cinematography as when a mouse sits on the head on a dragon talking to it, the use of black magic and a beautiful seaport. The cameos from the older children and the White Witch are welcome. The Downs: An extremly obnoxious, annoying, complaining bastard kid that gets in on the adventure that one wants to strangle and don't feel"

It looks great

“I thought I would be watching 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' (the cinema had a picture of the poster for the first one) but this is still fun to watch. It features decent acting, it looks great with great visual effects and a good art direction, the plot is nothing great but I still think 'The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' is still worth seeing!” read more

“Though it may read as disingenuous, no cinema patron should estimate the amount of effort it takes to make a perfectly bland blockbuster; as flat as a still ocean and pioneering, in the sense that its synthetic vistas and passionless players, somehow plasticise the imagination; that’s both ours and that of C.S Lewis, who one imagines would be unmoved by his own story, were he alive to see this adaptation.

Lewis’ odd confluence of Christian, Roman and Greek myth might have been fertile territory for big-budget extravaganzas if the filmmakers had only the courage to add some imagination of their own. Unfortunately we’re left to wonder what visionary directors like Gulliermo del Toro and Alfonso Cuarón might have done with the same material while watching a series which never” read more

My Top 15 Halloween Favorites: From The Depths (15 movies items)

"TBH, I found the first chapter of the Narnia film series to be much more entertaining & engaging than I expected, especially for a nonfan such as myself. However, by the time of the sequels came out, I did find them to be a bit overbearing with their messages of Divine Superiority. However, Dawn-Treader had some redeemable moments that allowed me to endure the bits that bothered me. One of those moments was, of course the really cool giant Sea Serpent segment. From what I understand, it was"

"Katsottu: 31.5.2012 Lölöllöö… Tämä oli eeppinen tarina, jossa Narniaan mennään taulun kautta. Tässä oli merirosmoja ja hullun hauska CGI-hiiri. Siis nyt vittu perkele. "
