Even though both movies are costum dramas, back then, she was playing an innocent young woman but this time, she portrays an experienced courtisane. I must say, there were many things I enjoyed about this flick. The whole thing (costums, sets,...) looked gorgeous, the directing was well done, the acting was very good and the dialogs were very nice and witty. However, I can't say I was blown aways by the story. I mean, it wasn't really boring but it wasn't far from it, I'm afraid.
