"The romance here is more on the vanilla side (despite being between an older woman and a younger guy) and the film doesn't have many surprises, but the story does have an interesting "fish out of water" spin to it that makes this significantly more watchable than most movies that cover similar ground. As progressive as some people claim to be, there are too many restrictive ideas out there about what men and women "should and shouldn't do" that it's inevitable that, when it comes to romantic comedies (arguably the film genre in which we're supposed to see male/female dynamics displayed nicely), we're gonna see those close-minded notions play out.
