The Romans invade the wet and miserable Britain, and, among others, enslave the cowardly inventor Hegist, and the fearless warrior Horsa. In an attempt to kill the Roman Emperor Caesar at a Roman temple, Horsa kills Caesar's enemies, but Hengist gets all the credit, and is made Caesar's bodyguard. Meanwhile, Mark Antony, Caesar's best friend, becomes besotted with the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, but the only way to achieve his heart's desire is to kill Caesar and Hengist...

"9/8/17 The Carry On team at the height of their greatness with this hilarious parody of Cleopatra, as Sid James, Kenneth Williams and the gang deliver gag after gag that works and have managed to stand the test of time. It does run out of steam by the end but it can be forgiven as it has the greatest line ever from a Carry On movie: Infamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me! Genius!"
