"Don't goddamn me, Alex! Just don't goddamn me, sweetheart! And don't take my project! This is MY project! And I don't want to see it end up on some Defense scrap heap before we know what it's really about! You have no idea..."
This was pretty good. The premise sounded interesting and I thought it was more than well-executed. You don't see much of the premise being used in the beginning, but that's good because if the whole movie focused on just that then it wouldn't have been th"

"While filming a scene that required her character to have a heart attack Natalie Wood had a real heart attack, and the crew didn't notice until after the take was finished."

"You're married to the first man in the history of the world who has a chance to take a scientific look at the scariest thing a person ever has to face - I've gotta do it, I've gotta play it, play that tape - and you have to help me."

1983 was one of my all time favorite movie years, I set a personal record, that I've never come close to since, by going to the movie theater 100 times that year - so I am sure I saw"
"
A solid, fun, interesting movie from that really cool bygone era when Sci-Fi movies were about ideas. Christopher Walken leads a strong cast that includes Natalie Wood and that woman that played Nurse Ratchett. (Took me way too long to figure out why I recognized her)
So yes a very good science fiction drama that I'd never heard of before, and the second enjoyable 1983 Christopher Walkin lead performance I've watched this month!"

Yet another movie that's proof that the government will ruin anything that's potentially fun for the rest of us. Also proof of the dangers of taking scientific explorations too far. It's solidly entertaining though, with a strong cast & some excellent visuals for its time. I especially enjoyed watching the robots wreak havoc in the lab."

"Natalie Wood
Date of Death: 29th November 1981 (43)
Cause: Drowned
Fate of the Project?: Wood died before filming was complete, thus the ending had to be constructed from scenes shot earlier, body doubles and soundalikes. The film was dedicated to her memory."

"This one is definitely more a matter of personal preference, but this movie is one of the few Christopher Walkin movies where he's not doing an obvious spoof of himself. It is also the last movie Natalie Wood filmed before her death, and it was still in production when she died.
It's a fascinating look into science and how it always ends up being a destructive force, no matter the good intentions of the scientists. Definitely an interesting example of 70s sci-fi."
