Indeed, after making his directing debut, 'I call first', Scorsese did struggle to make something else and, after 5 years, he finally manage to make this flick. Basically, it is a typical exploitation feature from the 70's produced by Roger Corman, and as a result, the story was pretty weak but it is definitely inherent to the genre. I mean, it is not that it was really bad but you can feel that Scorsese was still searching himself.
