Unfortunately, "Bonjour Tristesse" is only good to look at. Riviera, places, design, costumes, it all looks very nice and that's pretty much all that movie offers. Story is rather shallow, characters are awful and relationship between father and daughter really gave me the creeps. Also, this movie is a perfect example of how sometimes narration is unnecessary and it only harms the movie. Performances...so-so, except Kerr's both performance and character, which was, to me, the only sane one in"
