my 3rd review...congradulations to me congradulations to me congradulations to me congradulations to me..this movie is awesome classical comedy the first movie to say the n word over and over. mel brooks is a genius including richard pryor and some other doode. this movie had me in stiches all the way thru. I say good day.

Mel Brooks gets raunchy and nasty in this send-up of Westerns, their inherent racism and sexism, and loads of silliness and post-modern humor just for the fun of it all. Mongo punching out a horse still makes me laugh way more than it should. I am, after all, way past the age of single digits, or low doubles. Same goes for my reaction to the infamous campfire scene. I'm not 8 years old anymore, but I giggle like one when a bunch of cowboys eat too many beans and fart around a campfire. Shameful to admit, I know. But I'm not the only one. My two favorite things about the movie though are two comedic performers who are no longer with us -- Harvey Korman and Madeline Kahn. He wore a shining star... and ever since the first time my brother and I saw this, we were hooked. It's got a little something to offend pretty much everyone, so it's an equal-opportunity offender.
