Beyond the campy "Blaxploitation" title, this tale of an African prince turned into a vampire by Dracula is straightforward and at times genuinely creepy, propelled by the towering presence of William Marshall as the titular character. Can you dig it?"
"Why is this movie a little bizarre? Not because it portrays a black vampire, that's not shocking at all, it's an interesting take.
However, the fact that Dracula is adapted to the 1970's ghetto, is very bizarre.
The effects were decent, but the makeup was overdone, then again it was the 70's."
"Not the best blaxploitation movie I've seen, but I found it pretty enjoyable. The movie was very comical than scary which made this movie fun to watch. The only thing that I didn't like about the movie was that it started off a bit slow and I didn't care for most of the characters. "

"Parhaita näkemäni blaxploitaatioita, tämähän alkaa jo muistuttaa oikeaa elokuvaakin. Tylsähköä leffaa pitävät pystyssä naurettavista ihan toimiviin risteilevät vampyyrikohdat, joista varsinkin lopun kellarikohtauksesta on saatu melkeinpä surrealistinenkin näytös, mutta väliin ahdettu turha sälä klubitansseineen ja puuduttavine jahkailuineen syö miestä. Maskeeraus on hauskaa ja tyhmiä yksityiskohtia löytyy vaikka kuinka, esimerkiksi Blaculan saadessa taksikuskilta haukut jä"
