I watched this on a cold, rainy Saturday night and there was nothing on tv. So I had nothing to lose. Except that my head was filled with garbage. It's the story of a robot who had some sort of wiring configuration that made him special. He's sold to a family who eventually realize he's special. But Pinocchio wants to be a real boy. And for two hours you are subjected to drivel. Robin Willi... read more

I may be the only one who actually liked this film. I felt for him and shed a few tears definitely one I'd like to add to my collection.

Even though the reviews concerning this movie were not really positive, I was still curious about it. Basically, it is one of the most ambitious projects with Robin Williams and for this feature, he is working again with Chris Columbus. Together, they had some tremendous success with 'Mrs. Doubtfire' 6 years before and they probably hoped they would make another hit. Unfortunately, it was a flop. ... read more

The Saddest Movie Scenes I've Ever Seen (13 movies items)

"Wow....a movie where Robin Williams is actually SERIOUS!!?? And a ROBOT! Well, anyway the sad scenes are 1. When "Sir" dies. 2. When "Little Miss" dies and he believes "That won't due." 3. The end where Andrew dies before the Supreme Council officially declares him the oldest human. Portia then requests that Galatea unplugs her life machine. "One is glad to be of service" "

Rules for Robotics

“The first Rule of Robotics is:

You ain't got no human parts.

The second Rule of Robotics is:

Youse made, all of metal, and shit.

The third Rule of Robotics is:

You a hard-boiled egg, man.

Yeah....I think I just removed myself from the Isaac Asimov Fan Club's mailing list.

Sry. ;)

I'm also starting to guess that I hate this director: I've seen three of his movies...and, well, I wish I hadn't, basically.

And, you know, I like Robin Williams and Sam Neill, to a certain extent, but God knows they've been in their share of flunks and flops, y'know?

As much as it might have enraged me, once upon a time, to have admitted it.

And, you know, some stories really do come true, but ” read more

Together, they had some tremendous success with 'Mrs. Doubtfire' 6 years before and they probably hoped they would make another hit. Unfortunately, it was a flop. Honestly, I didn't think it was that bad. First of all, you have a decent cast (Robin Williams, Embeth Davidtz, Sam Neill, Oliver Platt) and an interesting story which was really similar to 'Artificial Intelligence: AI'. Unfortunately, like many other Williams flicks, the whole thing was way too sentimental. That's one the main issues with Robin Williams is that he is usually either really hysteri” read more
