Beverly Hills Cop III (1994)

Falls short of the other installments in the series and some of the stuff in it is just cringeable. The jokes fall slow and short in this film and very little comedy is present throughout the hour and forty minutes. The biggest joke in the film is the obvious parody at Disney which just isn't funny or clever, it's all been done before. This makes the series seem formulatic after the same basic premise has happened in all three films. The second was good because it still managed to throw new things and be funny but this one just couldn't cough up anything new. Non-off Murphy's adlibs are in this film he just falls short constantly and doesn't tear up trouble like in the other films, it makes it seem like Foley has become a more respectful guy. Beverly Hills Cop III is the weakest link in the Beverly Hills Cop series thus far. The wait between the second and third films is amazing...as this film hit cinemas 7 years after the second film was released. Apparently they just had trouble getting a story together. Amazingly, after all that heavy development, the plot doesn't make a lick of sense. They seemingly decided on a story which is more convoluted than that of the second film.
