Catherine Deneuve is a great actrice and this is probably her best performance. The directing is very good aswell and the story is just fascinating. It deals with sex and eroticism without being exploitative about the whole thing. I think it is a great classic and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you are interested in French movies.
