This was impressive. There's a distinct feel here that is not present in the original comic. It's the way they've adapted the comic. The "pacing" of the comic, to be specific the layout itself, is somewhat frantic. There's so much stuff on every page it's hyper-active. In this film version though, director Jay Oliva seems to be going for an extremely deliberate mood of the melancholy. The music, the sombre pacing, and everything just further strengthens the mood. It's a really great overall"

Great voice acting. Good plot and really good script. Probably one of the best animated Batman movies I have seen. It is a bit more intense and violent than the regular cartoons. The final fight was brutal!

"Almost exactly what I would want from a Dark Knight Returns movie. It's faithful to the book, dark, gritty, violent, and thought-provoking. I love that it hasn't been updated at all. It still takes place in the fictions 1980s, and, in fact, the animation style feels about 25 years old too, and that's a good thing.
