Interesting but underwhelming.

"Please make me a real boy?"

Unfortunately, it seems that A.I. is Spielberg's weakest hour. But that's not to say that this Kubrick-style sci-fi production is bad; because the premise is excellent, but the film takes a few too many wrong turns.

A.I. is set many years into the future when the polar ice caps have melted and coastal cities are underwater. Presenting us ... read more

A Very Fun Film.*

I highly enjoyed this film and the idea of it. It was much different from any other science fiction films I have seen, and I was greatly surprised. I enjoyed the film from beginning to end. Yes, it was a little off beat, and quite strange, but I personally highly enjoyed this one. Not one of Spielberg's best, but it is worth a watch.

Given the fact that this is a Spielberg film, the young protagonist's acting made it more super dramatic to watch. I really like Osment as a kid and how I wish he had stopped growing after seeing this. I'm really not into android films but this is an exception. Jude Law was good-looking. But he still sucks as an actor. Hahaha.

Total Film's 50 Movies That Are Longer Than Should (50 movies items)

"Length: 146 mins Why That's Too Long: Spielberg has always managed to explore his parent issues in shorter films than this, and those tended to have other plots too. How We'd Fix It: Just pick one ending and stick with it. Continuing the story after it seems that everything has been resolved makes this film’s final third draaaaaag."

The future kind of sucks. (307 movies items)

"Reason for the future sucking: Global warming has led to melting polar ice caps, flooded coastlines and a drastic reduction of the human population. Plus robots capable of thought, feeling and emotions, have entered the scene. Sadly, outdated robots are reduced to scrap metal and tortured. Year it takes place: Unknown "

Moviewatcher122's 2014 Film Diary: April (19 movies items)

"April 2 "That was the everlasting moment he had been waiting for. And the moment had passed, for Monica was sound asleep. More than merely asleep. Should he shake her she would never rouse. So David went to sleep too. And for the first time in his life, he went to that place where dreams are born." This movie was kind of an odd experience for me. The first act was good, but it was overly sentimental at times. The second and third acts however were really good. While the story isn't anything "

25 Movies That Bolshevik Gary Hates... (25 movies items)

"I will never understand how this film received such positive reviews for all the problems it has. It literally is a cluster fuck of a film. Now this list is loaded with Hollywood cluster fucks, but this one sticks out for a reason because I felt literally insulted watching it. The end of all is the most insulting part of it. I don't have many thoughts on this one and I honestly didn't care for it much. It was a decent watch, I suppose, but nothing that I would ever revisit. I don't really care "
