I believe this was the best action film of 2006, and it deserved a lot more attention than it got.

It has more bloody deaths than the overrated Oscar-winner, 'The Departed'. It has more frantic fast-paced action then that horrendous crapfest that was 'Crank'. The cinematography was on par with the Oscar-winner 'Pan's Labyrinth. The costume design should've won an Oscar rather than... read more

I must agree with Midnight's review, as well as Prelude76's.

This film is excellent, despite all those violent scenes. I've stomached quite a few violent films, but this one particularly affected me more. I can handle violence but gross, no. (Apocalypto is *not* gross.)

I was a bit surprised with this film. Not in the sense that I thought it would be horrible and found out it was stunning instead. No. I was surprised because I thought it would be far more violent. I'd heard from several places/people that it was a very violent film. I didn't find it that violent.
