The Horror...the horror...

Well..what can you write about the best anti-war movie of all time?
First of all the film is a war epic, with a strong antiwar message and sublime scenes. The chaos, misinformation, madness and horror of Vietnam are presented in their entirety over the celluloid. The movie however did not stop there, but slowly turns into a surreal nightmare to study the impact of war on the psychology of e... read more

"I've seen horrors... horrors that you've seen. But you have no right to call me a murderer. You have a right to kill me. You have a right to do that... but you have no right to judge me. It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror. Horror has a face... and you must make a friend of horror. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If ... read more

Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Harrison Ford, Lauren Fishbourne, and Denis Hopper. Let that sink in for a little. Francis Ford Coppola writes and directs another epic tail. Apocalypse Now comes at you with action, drama, and top notch acting. The cinematography was probably some of the best I have ever seen.

Robert Duvall stole the show in this movie. He was pretty much... read more

"Coppola"

thenoah posted a review 6 hours, 7 minutes ago

A Masterpiece In the Finest Sense of the Word

“Coppola just owned the 70's. I mean it was HIS decade. He created two gangster masterpieces, and in the middle of those two he created a great psychological thriller, THEN he went on to create this classic, one of the best films ever made. It is extremely bleak and dark, and it delivers one of the best anti-war messages of all-time. Brando gives one of the all-time best performances as the crazed Colonel Kurtz. This whole film is incredible, but the ending will blow you away. The direction, the camerawork, the acting, everything just works here, and it also has one of the best closing lines in all of cinematic history. Yes, this is one of the best endings to one of the best films you will ever see.” read more

"June 18 "What are they gonna say about him? What are they gonna say? That he was a kind man? That he was a wise man? That he had plans, man? That he had wisdom? Bullshit, man!" I had this on DVD for a while now, but never watched it because it was the redux version. I'm not gonna say much about this, but if you haven't seen this already then do yourself a favor and watch it. "

“Ask any moviebuff to list their their top movies and you’ll generally hear Apocalypse Now on it. This film is nothing but top talent stars Marlon Brando,

Martin Sheen, Robert Duvall,Harrison Ford, Laurence Fishburne. Francis Ford Coppola directs another masterpiece Apocalypse Now is one of the best war movies of all time.

The brutalness that Apocalypse Now portrays made me and many others love this film. Its how how war can make people go insane how being in a jungle for months to years can do to a man's psyche.

As soon as Martin Sheen (Captain Benjamin L. Willard gets on the boat this movie takes off. The epic story is just executed flawlessly. Everything flows really well and the story never loses your atention. Robert Duvall’s character Lieutenant Col” read more
