Woody Allen's best film!

"Another important joke, for me, is one that's usually attributed to Groucho Marx; but, I think it appears originally in Freud's "Wit and Its Relation to the Unconscious," and it goes like this - I'm paraphrasing - um, "I would never want to belong to any club that would have someone like me for a member." That's the key joke of my adult life, in terms of my relationships with women."

I have always wanted to see this movie, but never really had the desire to. I found it was free on demand and I decided to check it out, I'm glad I did. It won 4 oscars, so already I knew that it has to be good. I was suprised on how actually funny it was I was cracking up through most of the movie. The acting by Diane Keaton was great she defiantly deserved the oscar win. Woody Allen was also gre... read more

Annie Hall. It's one of my favorite movie. Why? Because the actress in this movie reminds me of someone.
Apart from that, it's a very good movie with powerful dialogues that you could even use to impress your girl. This movie will make you smile. This movie will make you laugh. This movie will make you think. And last but not least, this movie will make you watch it one more time.

My Favorite Films (16 movies items)

"Annie Hall (1977) Director: Woody Allen Writers: Woody Allen, Marshall Brickman Stars: Woody Allen, Diane Keaton, Tony Roberts I don't know what it is, maybe it's the thought-out dark comedy, the chemistry between Allen and Keaton, or the sheer simplicity of it all, but Annie Hall is a film I can watch over and over again all day, and I love it for that."

1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die (2017) (489 movies items)

" Notes: Nowadays, I have some kind of love-hate relationship with Woody Allen but, when I started to discover his movies, I was a huge fan of his work. Looking back at this movie, I’m not surprised that I used to love his movies. Indeed, at the beginning of this career, the guy was so much sharper, especially in this movie which is usually considered as his Magnum Opus and rightly so . First of all, Allen has always been famous for his writing skills (as a result, he has been nominated 16 tim"

Nick's Top 100 Films (100 movies items)

""This is a movie that establishes its tone by constantly switching between tones: The switches reflect the restless mind of the filmmaker, turning away from the apparent subject of a scene to find the angle that reveals the joke. "Annie Hall" is a movie about a man who is always looking for the loopholes in perfection. Who can turn everything into a joke, and wishes he couldn't." - Roger Ebert"

Actor and Screenwriter (Same Movie) (26 movies items)

" Woody Allen and Diane Keaton (Screenwriter: Woody Allen and Marshall Brickman) By the mid-1960s Allen was writing and directing films, first specializing in slapstick comedies before moving into dramatic material influenced by European art cinema during the 1970s, and alternating between comedies and dramas to the present. He is often identified as part of the New Hollywood wave of filmmakers of the mid-1960s to late 1970s. Allen often stars in his films, typically in the persona he developed "

A classic

“To be honest, it has been a while since I have seen this flick and I should definitely re-watch it at some point. Nowadays, I have some kind of love-hate relationship with Woody Allen but, when I started to discover his movies, I was a huge fan of his work. Looking back at this movie, I’m not surprised that I used to love his movies. Indeed, at the beginning of this career, the guy was so much sharper, especially in this movie which is usually considered as his Magnum Opus and rightly so . First of all, Allen has always been famous for his writing skills (as a result, he has been nominated 16 times for the Academy Awards for the Best Writing and won this prize 3 times) and the dialogues and characters in this movie were just so interesting and entertaining. Above all, the whole thing was” read more
