The Monty Python troupe scored much success with their long-running TV series Monty Python's Flying Circus. This introduced the world to a very unique style of British humour, and also gave the Monty Python troupe a big name. Before studying the Monty Python's work, I really wanted to love them. Eventually, after watching all the movies they released, honestly, I have to admit that, even though I like what they do, I don't think I love their stuff. "Once again, Gilliam didn't direct this one. It was the first movie released by the Monthy Python and, basically, it is an anthology of their best sketches from season 1 and 2. I thought it was pretty good but it was still too random for my taste. Still, it is definitely worth a look though."

A good movie

“Before studying the Monty Python's work, I really wanted to love them. Eventually, after watching all the movies they released, honestly, I have to admit that, even though I like what they do, I don't think I love their stuff. This flick is definitely a really good example. I mean, it is completely anarchic and wild, there is no coherence whatsoever. Maybe it may sound appealing for you but it wasn't actually, at least for me. In my case, it was pretty much hit-and-miss as some sketches were pretty awesome but I couldn't care less about some other bits. But it is still very enjoyable because there are so many great scenes and great laughs. To conclude, I don't think it is a masterpiece but it is still pretty good and a must-see if you're interested in the Monty Python's legacy.” read more
