Robert De Niro is himself, in typical mobster fashion, but this is a comedy, and De Niro far surpasses his counterpart Billy Crystal to overtake the film.

The concept of this movie is funny. Robert De Niro (The Mission ) plays "Paul Vitti," a man who thinks that there is a stigma about going to a psychiatrist, and that he might potentially become homosexual by just going to one. He is obviously clueless about what therapy is all about. After having been involved in the mob, he starts having panic attacks; chest pains, can't breathe, and all the symp... read more

"3.9.11. TV Robert De Niron käsitys hauskana olemisesta on väännellä naamaansa. Valitettavasti koska kyseisen herran huumorintaju vaikuttaa enemmänkin sellaisen ironisesti itsensä kaikesta tekemisestä irrottaneen ihmisen huumorintajulta, hän ei ole tässä kuuluisia mafiaroolejaan parodioivassa filmissä lainkaan omalla maallaan. Kristalli-Pilli on ihan ok toisessa pääroolissa gangsterin psykiatrina. Lisa Kudrow on ällöttävä, kuten aina ennenkin. Anteeksi, en vain voi sietää kys"

He is obviously clueless about what therapy is all about. After having been involved in the mob, he starts having panic attacks; chest pains, can't breathe, and all the symptoms that psychiatrists look for to diagnose a patient. I guess the mobster has some feelings after all. The only thing I don't get is if a mobster is too macho to take drugs, why go to a psychiatrist? Paul has problems opening up to a psychiatrist because all he does is basically illegal. In such case the patient and doctor privileges do not apply, and the doctor should have called the cops. Phillydude's Movie Log - December, 2011 (26 movies items)

" Watched December 30th - Netflix Streaming - Rewatch "When I got into family therapy, this was not the family I had in mind." - Ben Sobel Another Robert DeNiro movie where he plays against a comedic actor in a story that involves the mob - only this time out they got the casting right and DeNiro plays the mobster, while Billy Crystal plays the haggard psychiatrist enlisted to treat him. Analyze This also benefits from having a better story and being far funnier than Mad Dog and Glory was. I "
