"01/22/13 - This is a case of an excellent trailer ending up being an udder shite movie. When a movie has an hour of a woman being turned on by literally everything, there's a problem and I won't even get into the spoilerific garbage that starts up afterwards. Yes, there's neat editing and lighting. So what, this movie blows."

"Date: 25. January
*first time watch*
I seriously weren't sure what I had watched, so I had to take some hours to think about it. I can't go into the details, since it'll spoil the film.
It's truly a unique and surreal film, and a definitive mindfuck.
It's not for everyone, though, so I'll only recommended to people who like art-films and surrealism.

First Viewing
Rented Library DVD
I gotta flat out admit this flick pissed me off beyond belief. The first 15 or so minutes had me by the balls and took me on this visual mind trip of angles and other shenanigans until I thought I would pass out from exhaustion. But then like a leaf floating past the window the greatness disappeared only to return in the last ten minutes when it was too late. I don't doubt the directors involved have talent that was shown to me by the tense opening, but where"
"In making Amer as cold, calculating, and totally transfixing as they have, Belgian filmmakers Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani have manically constructed what may very well be the Super Giallo. Full of free-floating signifiers of victims watching killers, killers watching victims, and victims becoming killers, the film is essentially an academic's tract on how the Italian giallo functions as a genre. And yet, it's edited so masterfully and filmed with such a sadistically attentive eye for detai"
"Espoo Ciné
Voihan vittu!
