Review

It was a very nice watch. The ending has so much impact on how we perceive a movie. That day I saw "Ghost Writer" and even though it was brilliant all through, the ending ruined it. "Try Seventeen" on the other hand comes out on tops with good meaty script in-between and a happy ending. Some may quote "naive" but isn't that why we really watch movies, to be enthralled and feel good.

An average movie

I wasn't really sure what to expect from this flick but since there was a decent cast, I thought I might as well check it out. To be honest, after maybe only 5 minutes,  I was already underwhelmed by the whole thing. Basically, it seemed to be one of those quirky romantic-comedies and,  apparently, I was just not in the mood for something like this today. To make things worse, it never got bette... read more

Description: After 17-year-old misfit Jones Dillon (Wood) drops out of college on his first day, he moves into an old apartment building where he soon becomes entangled in the lives of his kooky new neighbors, including a temperamental photographer (Potente) and a self-absorbed aspiring actress (Moore). When he's not busy flirting with the ladies or learning to live on his own, would-be writer Jones divides his time between fending off queries from his alcoholic mother (Perkins), penning letters to an absentee father, and indulging in an overactive fantasy life. An auto accident forces a reality check, however, nudging Jones to grow up & ... (more)

" Comment : To be honest, it might not be the ugliest poster out there but what really bothered me is that they actually switched the hair color of the actresses involved... Indeed, in this movie, Franka Potente was a brunette and Mandy Moore was blond (see pics underneath) but, for some reason it was completely the other way around on this pathetic poster. Seriously, the guys who are paid to make these posters should check at leat such basic details because the end-result looked just so unprofe"
