I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since it was starring Eva Mendes, I thought I should give it a try. I mean, she is far from being a great actress but I have a weak spot for her. “I wasn't expecting much from this flick but since it was starring Eva Mendes, I thought I should give it a try. I mean, she is far from being a great actress but I have a weak spot for her. Anyway, it is one of her most osbcure work and it is indeed rather forgettable. Indeed, it is one of those action movies starring Ice Cube and when you have seen one of them, you have basically seen all of them. I mean, it is not really bad whatsoever, but it is so pedestrian, unoriginal and really predictable, it makes it rather boring to watch. It is like Mike Epps, you really have to dig his kind of humor. I mean, I have nothing against him but his jokes are funny for maybe 5 or 10 minutes tops but for a whole movie, it gets quickly rather obnoxious, I'm afraid.
