Ash: Ripley, for God's sake, this is the first time that we've encountered a species like this. It has to go back. All sorts of tests have to be made.
Ripley: Ash, are you kidding? This thing bled acid. Who knows what it's gonna do when it's dead?
Ash: I think it's safe to assume it isn't a zombie.

Straight from the twisted mind of artist HR Giger, the science fiction horror bloomed into one of the biggest cult films of all time. Sigourney Weaver steps into space to deliver one of the most horrifying performances in the genre as the Aliens delivered themselves into the nightmares of people everywhere.

This is still a scary movie, almost 28 years later. Ridley Scott did an amazing job of building up what you didn't see into something horrible, and when you *do* see it, it scares the audience...

HR Giger's art makes this even more twisted and alien, and when all of the pieces are tied together, it makes for a helluva movie.

“I have seen a dozen alien movies including Alien vs. Predator. I even knew what the alien looks like so I wasn't having high expectations from this movie. But, It got me, boy! From beginning till the end, the movie was astounding. Unlike other movies which are made today (which show a lot of gore and are very action packed) Alien is the only alien movie that gives a creepy feeling of "We are not alone".

Unlike today's movies, they spent the first few minutes only to show us the entire the art-direction of the ship and how it works. Surprisingly enough, all the important scenes take place in these areas. Ridley Scott very cleverly creates the tension, slowly and slowly and a bit fast and a bit more fast and then a bang in the end! I still wonder how the hell they must have create” read more

"May 10 Note: I will be watching all 4 of the Alien movies in anticipation for Prometheus This was an awesome movie. I love the way the alien looked in this movie. I also loved the chestburster scene. It was scary and awesome at the same time. Also the self-destruct scene kept me on the edge of my seat. Then why didn't I give it 10 stars? Well because I thought it took a bit of time for the story to build up, but it is still a great movie. "

Iconic and Memorable Roles: Movies (40 movies items)

"Sigourney Weaver as Ripley This is where it began. Sigourney Weaver played flight officer aboard a deep space mining vessel. Her stress and fear were palpable, and added tension to the scenes. In combination with the rest of the cast, Sigourney Weaver's performance is both dramatic and believable."
