A typical Pierce Brosnan crime mystery thriller, but this one falls far short of his performance in the Thomas Crown Affair. The Bosnan, Woody Harrelson, Salma Hayek triangle is stale and the ultimate score is all build up-weak twist.

The people are gorgeous, the scenery is gorgeous, the diamond is gorgeous but that's just not enough. The characters are all weak and so is the plot. Brosnan can't keep himself from stealing, Hayak can't leave Brosnan even though he's commitment phobic, and Haralson plays someone who can only react to unlucky situations. Like everyone else, I'm not a huge fan of Brett Ratner's work. I mean, his movies are sometimes not bad actually but they are usually terribly generic. This movie is a pretty good example but since there was a nice cast, I still wanted to check it out. “Like everyone else, I'm not a huge fan of Brett Ratner's work. I mean, his movies are sometimes not bad actually but they are usually terribly generic. This movie is a pretty good example but since there was a nice cast, I still wanted to check it out. Honestly, I have to admit, even though this movie was nothing amazing, I still think it was rather entertaining. Indeed, the cast was really nice (Pierce Brosnan, Salma Hayek, Woody Harrelson, Don Cheadle, Naomie Harris, Chris Penn) and since I always had a weak spot for heist movies, I thought the whole thing was rather entertaining and the characters were actually pretty funny. "December 6 Very average heist movie and for a comedy it wasn't very humorous. (Although I thought the part where Woody shoots at that shark was funny.) Woody Harrelson is a good actor, but I felt he was miscast in this movie. This is one you're better off skipping."
