Sibling freakishness.

This film boomed during the peak of Asian horror dramas in the world. And yes, A Tale of Two Sisters is something. Freakingly good, it was. This proved that Koreans aren't just for romantic comedies. They could also compete with Japan's psychotic films. :)

The film risks a typical basic structure of the drama (the initial time to engage with the characters, and then walk the last of the story, as with the audience caring about what they are seeing). But the result was a flop, since all the first time in connection with the characters is undermined by horror without rhythm and just sprinkled in are mostly long shots, trying to build an atmosphere of ... read more

All this movie score can be obtained due to its unique visual bill, typical of oriental horror productions, full of imagery and unsettling atmospheres. But the script is leaking everywhere, repeating situations and making the main character suggestion, without resolution, end and, worse, no intelligibility. The inevitable violence of South Korean films and brand director, Kim Jee-woon. Confused mo... read more

Description: Something strange is happening when Su-mi and her younger sister Su-yeon come home to their father's large, but dark and somewhat foreboding house after a stay in the hospital. Their dad is taciturn and burdened and their step-mother, Eun-joo greets them with forced enthusiasm and more than a little sense of irritation. But that's nothing compared to what happens when bedtime rolls around. Su-mi unpacks her bags in her old room only to find her desk and closet full of someone else’s stuff. Su-yeong hears step foots outside her bedroom door and then sees a creepy, ghost-white hand opening the door – but there's no one there. ... (more)

" The Ups: Superior psychological thriller with a small dose of supernatural horror to give that extra feel of excellence. Complex but rewarding story with good characters. Excellent direction. It can be a tiny bit confusing at times and deserve many viewings in order to catch every layer of it's story as it could be interpreted differently each time. "

"Another Thriller/Horror, that the pussy here decided to take on.Fortunally, it only has 2 or 3 creepier sequences, so I did it all alright (almost). Jokes apart, another great South Korean movie, with no humour at all (what is rare based in what I've seen from the country), but very catchy, tense, and with really wondeful frames and great use of colors (specially Purple), which is a common thing in Korean movies. The ending is great, but can be a little confusing, especially in regard to the fa"
