" A man known as Diablo emerges to head a drug cartel after the previous leader is imprisoned. This marks my fifth film directed by F. Gary Gray. It has a few familiar faces including Vin Diesel, Larenz Tate, Ken Davitian, Timothy Olyphant, Emilio Rivera, Jeff Kober, and Michael Papajohn. The acting is alright. There is plenty of violence some of which is way more graphic than I was expecting. There were some decent twists. The ending was actually pretty bad ass. It is worth a 1 time watch. "

“At the beginning of the 2000's, following 'Pitch Black', 'The Fast and the Furious' and 'xXx', Vin Diesel was heralded as the next generation action movie star. A decade later, we can say that Vin Diesel didn't really manage to reach this status. After his original success, this movie was his first flop. It is basically a throwback to those macho action movies from the 80's. The directing was not bad, with a rather gritty and stylish look. The action scenes were decent but nothing really impressive and I can't say I really enjoyed it. I mean, Vin Diesel is really charismatic and has the potential to be a badass action star but the story was just really weak and actually rather boring. Furthermore, they tried to add a stupid twist at the end but it made the whole thing even more nonsensica” read more
