Miika's Movie Diary - 2010 (372 movies items)

"Watched 18.11 ---------- Ei niin hyvä kuin eka osa, vaikka aluksi vaikuttaa jopa paremmalta. 28 Weeks Later on rajumpi kuin edeltäjänsä, mutta se tunnelma on unohtunut johonkin. Muutenkin mukana on väkisinvääntämisen makua, ja elokuvan eteneminen tuntuu päämäärättömältä."

35 From '07. My Top Favorite Movies Of 2007. (35 movies items)

"To be honest, over-all, as a film, I liked 28 Weeks Later more than it's predecessor, 28 Days. I thought that Days was much horror-like than it's sequel, but, for me, Weeks had a much more thrilling factor. I liked the increase of the non-stop action, and I found the plot to be more cohesive (whereas in the first movie, the antagonists seemed to change mid-thru, from the zombies to the stoney-hearted soldiers). I mean, don't get me wrong, Weeks has enough to qualify itself into the category of"

My Top 99 Favorite Horror Movies (99 movies items)

"To be honest, over-all, as a film, I liked 28 Weeks Later more than it's predecessor, 28 Days. However, the reason I don't have it listed up higher than 28 Days is because, as much as I liked it, I thought that Days was much horror-like that it's sequel. I mean, don't get me wrong, Weeks has enough to qualify itself into the category of the horror genre. And personally, I found this one to be much more a thrillride of a movie, with alot more non-stop action, not to mention that, the plot cam"

TOP 10 Zombie Apocalypse Movies (10 movies items)

"Uninfected Britons survived the Rage virus inside a heavily militarized area called the Green Zone while all the infected starved to death. Don (Robert Caryle), who lost his wife Alice to the virus, was able to reach the zone. But then Alice is discovered alive, infected, but immune to violent effects. She’s brought into the zone. Don gets infected by Alice and spreads the virus inside the Green Zone which is methodically bombed. The prospect is obviously worse than 28 days, for 28 weeks is tw"

“We need your help.

The sequel to the 2002 film "28 Days Later" actually occurs six months before the Rage Virus ravaged Britain, leaving death and destruction in its wake. The film actually opens during the siege of the virus. We see a husband and wife living in a country house with four other people. Don (Carlyle) and Alice (McCormack) are extremely grateful that their two children have survived the epidemic, since they are currently on a school trip in Spain. During their meal, a frantic knocking on the door causes Alice to plead with the others to open the door - it is the voice of a young boy. Don reluctantly agrees to let the boy in, but it turns out to be a fatal mistake. Hordes of Infected have followed the child, and the group is quickly devoured. In a moment of cowardice” read more

"Kohtalainen jatko-osa 28 Days Laterille. Mnessa kohdassa ollaan saatu hyytävää tunnelmaa, vaikkei ihan edeltäjänsä tasolle pääsekään. Gorea esiintyy runsaasti, mutta ei sentään liikaa. Ärsyttävin seikka tässä elokuvassa on kameratyöskentely. Joissakin kohdin heiluva kamera kyllä toimii, mutta useimmiten tässä elokuvassa se vain ärstyttää."
