Now i had never seen this or even heard of this when i was growing up so i never watch it or else i would have. This movie is good but it is just nowhere near Stanley Kubrick 2001: A Space Odyssey. I didn't really care for the whole USA/USSR stuff that was just in the way of the film in my opinion. I did really like that we got to figure out why Hal 9000 malfunction.
