2001: A Space Odyssey is incredible mess of movie, the writers Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke obviously felt that a lot of random uninteresting long scenes make a whole film. A Flawless Masterpiece

“Those who call this film "Pretentious" or "Boring" either just don't get it or are just upset because there is no kung-fu here. I respect people's opinions and everything, but actually have some respect. I mean, this might be the best film ever made. Anyways, like I said, this is a true masterpiece. It is absolutely beautiful and visually amazing. Just like Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life, it is very complex and profound and told almost entirely in visuals. The music played here is absolutely beautiful. It fit in with the setting perfectly. Douglas Rain's voice-over of HAL is so creepy and fascinating. The whole movie is this way. It is the king of science fiction films and the most realistic portrayal of space travel to date. In conclusion, this is a must-see masterpiece that is both c” read more
